毛矛予，现生活和工作在杭州。2020年毕业于中国美术学院实验艺术系，2023年在伦敦大学金匠学院获得纯艺硕士学位。
矛予的创作源于她对日常世界的细致观察与深层反思。她持续探索：个体如何从自身的经验出发，逐渐成为最真实的存在。她的实践涵盖装置、写作与表演，以这些形式重新组织情感与物质之间的关系。
自2021年起，矛予开始关注艺术与日常生活之间那些脆弱的边界。家具、衣物、食物等物件常成为她的创作场域，试图在这些普通事物中寻找超越常规的可能性。她的作品并非单纯地反映现实，而是通过这些生活中的细节，探寻一种新的生活方式——它既关乎个体的独特性，也回应自然的广阔法则。
Mao Maoyu currently lives and works in Hangzhou. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Experimental Art from the China Academy of Art (2020) and her Master's degree in Fine Art from Goldsmiths, University of London (2023).
Mao Yu’s practice is rooted in a careful observation of the everyday and a sustained process of reflection. She explores how individuals, through the texture of lived experience, gradually become their most authentic selves. Her work unfolds across installation, writing, and performance—mediums through which she reorganizes the relationship between emotional states and the material world.
Since 2021, Mao has focused increasingly on the fragile boundaries between art and daily life. Objects such as furniture, clothing, and food often serve as the ground for her explorations. Within these ordinary materials, she searches for possibilities that exceed their functional roles. Her work does not seek to represent reality, but to reweave its overlooked details—proposing a new way of living, one that honors individual perception while echoing the broader patterns of nature.
